Bio
I’m Laura Smith, a 19 year old from the small ocean side town of Kennebunk, Maine although I was born in Norton, Massachusetts. I’m currently a sophomore studying New Media at the University of Maine. I’m a volleyball player, skier, beach-goer, hockey fan, and an avid searcher of new and different kinds of music. I’ve played a little bit of piano and guitar, enjoy photography, and doodle on practically every surface I can get a pencil on -- all of which are things I enjoy doing.
Creative Statement
Creative activities such as music, art, and photography are my reasoning behind choosing New Media as my major; they’re all things I enjoy and would love to incorporate into a career of my own down the road. I love the idea of doing something with my life that seems less like work and more like a hobby, something I’m excited to wake up everyday and do. I’m fascinated with music and sound production; if I’m not in class or sleeping, I’m listening to music and I’m enthralled with how a lot of it is created. That’s a field I hope to get more experience in and would love to be apart of in the future.
